Greetings once again!
In this article, our team shares with you a helpful overview of how to start or support a green fundraiser on MyGreen.FUND.
Step 1: Create a MyGreen.FUND account
First, click on the Register tab and you will be taken to the “Create a MyGreen.FUND Account” Form. When you sign up for a MyGreen.FUND account you will enter your first name, last name, username, password, email, and website as well as a brief bio.
When you have completed the form, click “Sign UP”
You will receive a message that says “Registration Completed” and will be redirected to the homepage.
Please note, that the username you enter when creating your account is the name that will be displayed publicly on the fundraiser page.

Step 2: EITHER: Browse and Support Projects
To support or donate to a listed project, click on “Browse Projects”. Select a project of choice and click on the image to “View campaign”. You will see all the information about the listed project, such as the capital seeker’s username, the funding goal, and location. Enter the amount you wish to back the campaign and click “Back campaign”. You will be prompted to enter your details and select your preferred method of payment. The methods of payment are PayPal, Debit/Credit Card, Direct bank transfer, and cash.
Step 2: OR Add your Project
To add a green project for crowdfunding, You must click on the “My Projects’ tab, and scroll down to “Add Project” This will take you to the “MyGreen.FUND Campaign Form” where you will be asked to log in with the details you used at Registration.
On the Campaign Form, enter your campaign details such as: Title, Descriptions, and Category selection.
In terms of Title, use this chance to stand out. Create a title that is specific to your cause, using names or a call to action. For example, ‘Help Save the Atlantic Ocean” has more impact than ‘Funds for ocean NGO.’
In terms of category selection, choosing a category is just a way to help other people to find your fundraiser, so you can select whichever seems closest to your situation.
Add feature and gallery Images and links to a video if you have a cool video URL to add. Fundraisers using a personal photo or video that showcases the person, environment, product, service, animal, or cause for the funds are generally more successful than those that do not.
Also indicate your campaign start and end dates, minimum and maximum amounts as well as a funding goal. Your goal amount should reflect how much you’re looking to raise. When setting your goal, keep in mind there will be a transaction fee per donation, so you may want to set your goal slightly higher than what you need.
You can also opt to show contributor tables or enable anonymous contributions.
Select your county and location as well as an optional reward option.
Agree with the terms and conditions.
Step 3: Completing your green fundraiser.
Finally, click on “Submit Campaign.” You will get a message outlining what you missed or whether the campaign has been successfully submitted.
Once you click “Submit Campaign,” your campaign is live and available to receive donations!

Step 4: Your campaign fundraiser is ready. Let’s start getting funds!
While your green fundraiser can start receiving donations right away, no one will know your fundraiser is active until you start to share it. Sharing your fundraiser with as many communities as you can is the best way for it to be successful. Here are a few ways to share:
SOCIAL MEDIA: You can use this page to connect your MyGreen.FUND to a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. You can also copy your fundraiser link here so that you have it ready to send to people.
IN PERSON: You can use your custom link to share your fundraiser over text message, on posters and printouts, when speaking to your community, and as part of presentations. There are countless ways to get the word out using your link!
Remember, sharing is the key part to getting donations on MyGreen.FUND. If you aren’t sharing your green fundraiser with your colleagues, friends, family, and community, then it’s not likely to get donations. Using your personal and professional networks can help get you closer to your goal.
Your green fundraiser is now live, and you’re ready to raise funds and support on MyGreen.FUND. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact the MyGreen.FUND team on the contact page.
